January stats are done and it was a less than stellar month for the Houston County residential market. It's pretty safe to say we have officially transitioned into a buyer's market. The number of homes closed in January is slightly down from December, but average Days on Market has increased to 102. This means that half of homes listed will take more than 3 months to sell! It's time to price correctly and have your home in top shape for selling. We saw more homes selling under $225k in the last month than all of last year with the average sales price at $217,069.
